Trivia Question❓

In Catholic tradition, what is the official title of the head of the Catholic Church?

Answer at the bottom of the newsletter

In a busy world, carving out time for daily prayer can be tough.

Integrating the rosary into your routine brings deep spiritual rewards.

Keeping a rosary in your bag or pocket acts as a gentle reminder and opens doors for prayer whenever you find a free moment.

Setting aside a specific time and comfortable place each day helps to make the rosary a steady habit in your life.

If you’re pressed for time, try praying a decade here and there throughout the day, finishing the full rosary in smaller parts.

Using technology like apps or guided audio can further support your efforts, making it easier to pray wherever you are.

Reflect often on the peace, growth, and connection that daily rosary prayer brings, and let these benefits inspire you to continue.

The Archdiocese of Detroit is launching a major restructuring to address plunging Mass attendance, aging churches, and a growing priest shortage.

Mass attendance has fallen by 40% since 2011, and over $94 million in urgent building repairs remain unfunded.

Early plans indicate that at least 22 southeast Michigan parishes could see weekend Masses eliminated.

The new approach will adopt a pastorate model, where one pastor leads several neighboring parishes.

Community listening sessions continue through mid-June, inviting parishioners to openly share concerns and ideas as decisions are weighed.

Archbishop Edward Weisenburger stresses that these difficult steps are essential for the long-term vitality of the Catholic community in Metro Detroit.

Local Catholics are urged to take part and help guide the archdiocese’s future direction.

Quote Of The Day

"The greatest power God has given us is the power to take part in the divine work of bringing others to Christ." - Pope Francis

Pope Leo XIV began his papacy by blessing all with a wish for peace and has continually called for tranquility both throughout the world and within each person.

He urges everyone, especially the young, to bravely embrace the often-challenging work of peacemaking, stressing that peace is a universal good that must include all or none.

Pope Leo emphasizes nurturing inner calm in order to spread reconciliation from homes to workplaces, and acknowledges that pursuing true peace sometimes even divides families or friends.

He calls for courage in facing injustice and insists that authentic faith demands heartfelt prayer, not empty ritual.

Despite violence in the world, he encourages practicing mercy and not losing hope, recognizing God's mercy as the path back to peace.

Pope Leo highlights the healing power of wounds touched by mercy and the restorative fire of love brought by the Eucharist.

Above all, he invites all to dare to pursue peace, certain that God hears every prayer.
